Stabbing Outide South El Monte High School, #South EL Monte

On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, Temple Station Deputies responded to South El Monte High School regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call.  When deputies arrived, they discovered one male adult victim stabbed.  The victim was medically treated on scene by the Los Angeles County Fire Department and subsequently transported to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition. 
According to initial reports, a fight occurred outside the school premises following the high school graduation between the victim and two male adults.  During the altercation, the victim was stabbed.  Both suspects fled the location and remain outstanding.  Additionally, we are aware of a video which is circulating online, and we have a copy of the video in our possession as part of our investigation.
“This unfortunate incident during a time of celebration for our high school students is concerning.  The safety of our students and community is paramount, and we are committed to conducting a thorough investigation to apprehend those individuals responsible,” said Temple Sheriff’s Captain Jorge Meza.
