Summer is here and the Camarillo Police Department is ready to enjoy it with three “Cones with Cops” events. The Camarillo Police Department, in collaboration with Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District and local business Mister Softee, would like to invite you to three events over the summer. These events are casual in nature, where questions can be asked and multiple police vehicles will be on display to see. Members of the Camarillo Police Department will be at the listed parks, on the below listed dates and times, with Mister Softee. We will be providing the first 100 children at each event with a free “Sheriff’s Cone.” The “Sheriff’s Cone” will be an ice cream cone rolled with yellow and green sprinkles, which represents the Sheriff’s Office uniform colors. Additional ice cream items and desserts on Mister Softee’s menu will be available for purchase. During each event, guests will be able to visit with Camarillo Police Department personnel and get to see our police vehicles, including a patrol vehicle, motorcycle, and armored SWAT vehicle. We invite everyone to visit us and say “hi,” ask any questions you may have about law enforcement, see our vehicles, and enjoy an evening at the park while having some ice cream. We are excited to visit with guests at these new summer events this year. The Camarillo Police Department Community Resources Unit continually builds relationships with residents, local businesses, and community partners.
