Southern California has seen a recent surge in the theft and vandalism of utility items like fire hydrants, statues, and light poles. The City of Paramount takes these matters very seriously as they directly impact our ability to deliver the consistent, high quality municipal services that our residents and business community have come to expect.

Tampering with fire hydrants is a federal offense and the theft or vandalism of any municipal items will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. If you would like to share a tip or witness any suspicious activity occurring at a fire hydrant, statue, structure, or other piece of City equipment, please immediately contact the Paramount Sheriff Station at (562) 220-2002.
