On Tuesday, 6/4/24, at approximately 8:30pm, a community member called our dispatch center to report that two suspects were committing a theft from a department store. The community member wrote down the suspect vehicle information and relayed that to our team. Petaluma PD Officers located the suspect vehicle while heading southbound on 101 near Kastania Rd. After conducting a traffic stop, Officers initiated a vehicle search which revealed the stolen merchandise, methamphetamine, methamphetamine pipes, and identifying information of 3 other people. The suspects, Kendra Timmons (55, Richmond) and Nathan Caveness (63, Sacramento) initially provided officers with false names that returned to real people. Carness was found to have a parole warrant and a felony warrant out of Alameda County. Timmons was on felony probation for ID theft out of Marin County.
Caveness was booked into Sonoma County Adult Detention Center for his warrants, as well as for shoplifting, conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of drug paraphernalia, and false impersonation.
