Wilmington Police have arrested a male juvenile on a gun charge.
On June 6, at approximately 7:08 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the unit block of Buena Vista Street, in reference to a person with a gun complaint. Upon arrival, police observed a 16-year-old male juvenile discard a firearm. Police made contact with the 16-year-old male juvenile, who was taken into custody without incident, and recovered a loaded .380 caliber handgun.
The 16-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offense:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
