New Residential Electric Meters being installed today. Brief interruptions in service during install may be expected. 
The Tonakwa Public Works Department is continuing the installation process of the new residential electric meters, today. The Electric Department customers plan on being on the east side of Town (Route 3 and Route 4). Brief and intermittent interruptions in utility service may be expected during the installation process of each residential meter. Electric Department workers may attempt to knock on residential doors to alert customers but cannot wait for long periods of time for a response. Please let this Nixle Alert serve as warning to power down computers, electric appliances, and peripherals this morning and afternoon. Please contact the Tonkawa City Offices if your services are interrupted for longer than a short time. The City of Tonkawa appreciates your cooperation.
