Re:	Kosciusko Blvd. Project – Sophia St. to White Oak Ave.

 
Dear Resident,
Milestone Contractors, in conjunction with the City of East Chicago, will begin the Kosciusko Blvd. Improvements Project. This project will be a full reconstruction of the road from Sophia Street to White Oak Avenue. This includes underground utility improvements, removing and replacing the curb and sidewalk, repaving the roadway, and various landscaping.
Throughout the duration of the project there will be a soft road closure, allowing residents access to their driveways, but restricting through traffic.  The contractor will be placing ‘No Parking’ signs on both sides of the road beginning the week of July 10^th. During this project residents will have access to their driveways but will not be able to park on the street during working hours, which are Monday through Saturday 6:00am to 7:00pm. 
During the week of July 10^th, the contractor will begin mobilizing for the project. This includes utility markings and layout, pavement saw cutting in advance of the new water main and storm sewer, and moving equipment and materials to the project site.
The contractor is tentatively scheduled to begin tree removal Wednesday June 12^th, and plans to start the reconstruction work the week of June 17^th.
