Wilmington Police arrest Townsend man on gun charge: 
Wilmington Police have arrested a Townsend man on a gun charge.
On June 11, at approximately 4:11 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division conducted a motor vehicle stop in the 500 block of South Walnut Street, for a registration violation. Police made contact with the driver – 28-year-old Komba Gbessay of Townsend, DE.
Following a brief investigation, police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, and Gbessay was taken into custody without incident.
Gbessay has been charged with the following offense in addition to traffic violations:
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
