Suspect in a Domestic Violence Case Becomes Victim of Assault; Two Apple Valley Men Arrested

SUSPECT 1: Frankie Devaughn Lucas, Jr., 21-year-old male of Apple Valley
SUSPECT 2:Alphonso Deshawn Lee Faulks, 31-year-old male of Apple Valley
VICTIM: Confidential Female, 36-years-old, resident of Barstow
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department were dispatched to a report of an assault in progress along the roadway in the 21000 block of Outer Highway 18 South. Deputies arrived on scene and found the male victim, Alphonso Deshawn Lee Faulks, suffering from multiple injuries. The suspect, later identified as Frankie Devaughn Lucas, Jr., fled the location before deputies arrived. Faulks was transported to a trauma center for treatment and was later released.
On May 22, 2024, Lucas was located and arrested for the assault. He was booked in at the High Desert Detention Center and later released on bail. During the investigation, detectives learned Lucas assaulted Faulks after Faulks was involved in a domestic violence incident with a female victim. Detective T. Gates began an investigation into the domestic violence incident and learned Faulks began assaulting the female victim on May 13, 2024, at about 8:30 p.m. at Thunderbird Park and continued through the night and into the next day at various locations. A Ramey Warrant was issued for Faulks.
On Monday, June 10, 2024, Faulks was arrested on his Ramey Warrant for PC 273.5(a) – Corporal Injury to Spouse or Cohabitant by the Barstow Police Department. Faulks was booked into Barstow Jail and on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, Victorville District Attorney’s Office filed felony charges of corporal injury to spouse or cohabitant and misdemeanor charges of PC 243(e)(1) - Battery on a Spouse or Cohabitant. Faulks remains in custody in lieu of $100,000 bail.
