Big Bear Deputies Respond to Burglary in Progress and Arrest Two Suspects, a Third Suspect Was Later Arrested

DATE/TIME: June 11, 2024, 11:46 p.m.

INCIDENT: Subjects Arrested for Commercial Burglary

LOCATION: 100 block of Business Center Drive, Big Bear Lake

SUSPECT 1: Rosemary Flores, 24-year-old resident of Hemet
SUSPECT 2: Sergio Garcia, 29-year-old resident of Norwalk
SUSPECT 3: Cesar Abraham, 35-year-old resident of Riverside

VICTIM 1: Southwest Gas


SUMMARY: On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at approximately 11:46 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a commercial burglary in progress at Southwest Gas in the city of Big Bear Lake. Two males were reportedly breaking into cash kiosks at the business. Damages were estimated to be approximately $38,000, and an estimated total of $4,298 in cash was stolen.

When deputies arrived on scene, they oberved two male subjects running from a vehicle at the incident location.  A female subject, Rosemary Flores, was located in the vehicle acting as a lookout. One of the male subjects who fled, Sergio Garcia, was found hiding underneath a bus north of the incident location. The third suspect, Cesar Abraham, was not located.

Garcia and Flores were booked into custody at the West Valley Detention Center for burglary, conspiring to commit a crime, and possession of burglary tools ($30,000 bail). An arrest warrant was issued for Abraham.

On Thursday, June 13, 2024, personnel from the Big Bear Station's Detective Bureau and Multiple Enforcement Team located Abraham hiding out at a residence in Riverside. When deputies attempted contact with Abraham, he again fled on foot. Abraham was taken into custody and booked at the Central Detention Center for burglary and possession of burglary tools ($250,000 bail).
