While it is relatively quiet currently, our next rain making disturbance is approaching and can begin to spark a couple isolated showers or perhaps a storm in the next few hours. As we head into the late afternoon, an area of storms will begin to push into the region from the west with some threat for severe weather. The main risk will be wind gusts up to 60 mph, but up to penny sized hail and heavy downpours that can lead to poor drainage issues are also on the table with this stronger activity. The heaviest intensity storms exit towards sunset, though lingering showers and perhaps a couple storms will remain possible into the evening with all activity ending towards Midnight. Quiet weather then returns into the weekend.
