Police Seek Help Identifying Theft Suspects
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured female and male suspects in connection with a theft that occurred on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
At approximately 11:20 p.m., a woman in the area of Mulberry Street and Edison Place was violently bumped by a woman who pick-pocketed her wallet from her purse. The female suspect was observed walking in the area with the male suspect before the incident occurred. The victim’s wallet, pink with a gold zipper, contained $200.00 in cash, credit cards, and other personal belongings. The following day the victim’s credit card was used at Walgreens in Piscataway.
Detectives investigating this incident describe the female suspect as 5’3” tall with long, dark brown hair. She was wearing khaki pants.
