Detective Billie Brown with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 25-year-old Hannah Owensby with felonious Second Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Child and felonious Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Child. Owensby was issued a $300,000 secured bond.
An investigation began on March 18th when deputies responded to a report of the possible exploitation of a child. Detectives seized numerous electronic devices from Owensby that contained sexually explicit images of children. She was then charged and arrested on June 6th.
