* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions for several days are expected. Peak afternoon heat indices of 95 to 100 degrees are possible each day from Monday through Friday.

* WHERE...Southeast Michigan

* WHEN...From Monday afternoon through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The effects of heat on the human body get worse as the number of consecutive days of heat increase. Nighttime lows will only drop into the 70s this week, which will offer little relief from the heat.
