* WHAT...Heat index values up to 100 expected.
* WHERE...Monmouth, Ocean, and Southeastern Burlington Counties.
* WHEN...From 10 AM to 10 PM EDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest heat values will be displaced to the western locations of each county. Along the shore, temperatures will be lower due to the sea breeze from the Atlantic Ocean. This is the start of a prolonged period of excessive heat with high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s through the week. The early season heat combined with the prolonged nature of the heat may cause heat related impacts that exceed anticipate heat illnesses or on heat sensitive infrastructure normally associated with a Heat Advisory.

Instructions:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
