FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT....Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected
* WHERE...A portion of Central Kansas, including the following
counties, Marion and McPherson.
* WHEN...Until 330 PM CDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 725 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow
moving thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in
the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Canton, Lincolnville, Durham, Marion Lake and Pilsen.
Instructions:
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't
drown
