An accident has just occured on Highway 278 at the first bridge traveling on island to Hilton Head Island. The left east bound lane of Highway 278 on the first bridge headed on island is currently blocked by vehicles involved and emergency vehicles. Motorists are advised to please use caution and to expect delays when traveling through this area.
