INCIDENT: Homicide Investigation
LOCATION: 9200 block of Milliken Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT(S): Brian Morales, 38-year-old Resident of Rancho Cucamonga
VICTIM(S): Kathryn Morales, 65-year-old Resident of Rancho Cucamonga
SUMMARY: On Saturday, June 15, 2024, at approximately 9:24 a.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department were requested to respond to the 9200 block of Milliken Avenue for a welfare check on Kathryn Morales. The caller had not heard from Kathryn in several days and was concerned about her. Upon arrival, deputies made entry to the home and located Kathryn deceased under suspicious circumstances.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail, responded and assumed the investigation. During the course of the investigation the victim’s son, Brian Morales, was determined to be responsible for her death. Morales was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center for PC 187-Murder.
