Due to excessive heat, a Code Red has been called for the City of New Brunswick. An emergency cooling center for residents who are without shelter is available Tuesday from 12 noon until 7:00 p.m. at Unity Square Community Center at 81 Remsen Avenue.
"Code Orange" has been called for the City of New Brunswick for Tuesday. A code orange air quality alert means that air pollution
concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Emergency reprieve is available from 12:00pm until 7:00pm at Unity Square Community Center & The Urban Health Collaborative located at 24 Kirkpatrick Street until 3pm.
