INCIDENT: PC 211 - Robbery
LOCATION: Pet Smart, 19011 Bear Valley Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Talisa Dyris Horton, 27-year-old female of Rialto
SUMMARY:
On Friday, June 14, 2024, at approximately 2:20 pm deputies were dispatched to check on a female subject at Pet Smart. Deputy A. Gonzalez arrived on scene and found the female subject had been detained by store security.
The investigation revealed Talisa Dyris Horton had entered the store and began acting erratically and shouting. Horton went to the medication area, opened a bottle of pet medication and began drinking it. Employees at Pet Smart attempted to stop Horton but were unsuccessful. Horton then left the business and was detained by security personnel.
Horton was arrested and transported to High Desert Detention Center where she was booked in for robbery. On Monday, June 17, 2024, San Bernardino District Attorney, Victorville office, filed felony charges of robbery. Horton remains in custody in lieu of $90,000 bail.
