THIS FRIDAY is the last day to register for Fairfield Police Department’s Second Annual Youth Academy!
The Youth Academy is a FREE program for FSUSD, TUSD, and Fairfield Home School students who have an interest in Law Enforcement and will be held July 8-12 this year.
This unique opportunity provides students with a greater understanding of the inner workings of the police department, as well as procedures, as taught by the Law Enforcement professionals themselves.
Students will spend a week gaining insight into the jobs offered through the Fairfield Police Department, the skill set needed to perform these jobs, and will have the opportunity to engage with their peers through team building skills, communication, and critical thinking exercises.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants should have strong moral values, a commitment to learn, an interest in a career in law enforcement, and uphold the mission and core values of the Fairfield Police Department.
Must be between the ages of 12 and 17 and Attend school in the FSUSD, TUSD, or be homeschooled in the City of Fairfield
Both Applicant and Parent must review the entire application and apply with a full understanding of what is required and expected.
Candidates must submit a short, 100 word essay on why they want to attend the Youth Academy and what they hope to learn.
