* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... West central Montezuma County in southwestern Colorado... Southeastern San Juan County in southeastern Utah...

* Until 300 PM MDT.

* At 229 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near White Mesa, or 15 miles south of Blanding, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. This storm has a history of producing damage to roofs.

* Locations impacted include... White Mesa, Montezuma Creek, and Hovenweep National Monument.

* AFFECTED AREAS: MONTEZUMA, CO ... SAN JUAN, UT
