When I mention “the unit block” of a street, this means the incident occurred at an address anywhere between 1 and 99 of the street.

Robberies

There was one robbery during the past week.

On Thursday, 06-13-24, at approximately 4:20 p.m., an officer was dispatched to 7-Eleven, located on the 1000 block of Hillside Boulevard, on a report of an assault. A manager stated that a suspect came into the store, selected a cable, a car charger, bleach, multi-surface cleaner, wipes, and windshield wash worth approximately $65, and exited the store without paying. The manager, along with a cashier, followed the suspect to a silver Nissan Sentra. The suspect sat in the passenger seat. While the manager and cashier were standing at the passenger side of the vehicle, the suspect pepper-sprayed both of them. The vehicle reversed and then stopped. The driver exited the vehicle and returned the stolen merchandise to the cashier. The suspect was described as an average-built White female adult with dyed red hair, wearing a short black top with a design on the left side, black leggings, and black sandals. This investigation is continuing.

On Wednesday, 06-12-24, at approximately 1:50 a.m., officers were dispatched to Shaking Crab, located on the unit block of Southgate Avenue, on a report of a commercial burglary. Nextdoor.com

Nextdoor.com is a free private social networking website for your neighborhood. This private network ensures that only those who live in your neighborhood can join; users must go through a verification process. Neighbors ask each other for business recommendations; help in locating missing pets; discuss relevant local government issues; or connect for other reasons. It is very easy to sign up. I like the fact that the site verifies users by addresses, and it won’t allow people to access a neighborhood if they don’t live there. Please note: The City of Daly City and/or the Police Department cannot see what residents post—we are only allowed to post information. There is also a mobile application, or you can have it sent to your e-mail. Give it a try!  www.nextdoor.com
