Media Release - Armed Robbery and Pursuit Leads to the Arrest of Five Suspects
Beverly Hills, Calif. – An armed robbery occurred on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at approximately 4:53 PM in the 8600 block of Wilshire Blvd. The suspects produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s Rolex watch.
A City of Beverly Hills employee observed the crime and immediately notified BHPD Communications. With the assistance of the Real Time Watch Center (RTWC), the suspect vehicle was identified, and Officers were directed toward the suspect’s vehicle. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop. However, the suspect vehicle fled, and a pursuit was initiated.
With the assistance of LAPD Helicopter, the vehicle pursuit continued into Hollywood, where the suspects fled from the vehicle near Afton Place and North El Centro Avenue. BHPD Officers and Officers from the LAPD-Hollywood Division quickly established a containment. After the search, all five suspects were arrested, and evidence related to the crime was recovered from the vehicle.

• Xavier Ford, an 18-year-old from Oakland, California, was booked on the following charges: PC 211 – Robbery, PC 245(A)(1) PC – Assault with a firearm, PC 182(A)(1) – Conspiracy.
• Gangster Lawson, a 23-year-old from Oakland, California, was booked on the following charges: PC 211 – Robbery, PC 245(A)(1) PC – Assault with a firearm, PC 182(A)(1) – Conspiracy.
• Nasir Blocker, an 18-year-old from Oakland, California, was booked on the following charge: PC 211 – Robbery.
• Male juvenile, 17 years old
• Male juvenile, 16 years old
