INCIDENT: Subject Arrested for Possession of Controlled Substances for Sale
LOCATION: 200 block of West North Shore Drive, Big Bear City
SUSPECT(S): Jose Sandoval-Arizmendi, 37-year-old resident of Big Bear City
VICTIM(S): People of the State of California
SUMMARY: On June 21, 2024, at about 11:43 P.M., deputies assigned to the Big Bear Sheriff's Station - Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple California vehicle code violations near State Highway 18 and Cactus Flats. Deputies identified the driver as Jose Sandoval-Arizmendi and located approximately one ounce of suspected cocaine.
Deputies served a search warrant at Sandoval-Arizmendi's residence in the 200 block of West North Shore Drive. Deputies located an additional approximate 44 separate bags containing suspected methamphetamine, weighing a total of half a pound as packaged. Additionally, items indicative of drug sales were also located.
Sandoval-Arizmendi was arrested and booked into the Big Bear Jail for HS 11378(A) - Possession of Controlled Substances for Sale, and HS 11379(A) - Transportation of Controlled Substances. Sandoval-Arizmendi's bail is currently set at $250,000 and is scheduled for an arraignment hearing on June 25, 2024, in the San Bernardino Superior Court.
