* Flash Flood Warning for... Southern De Kalb County in north central Illinois... Lee County in north central Illinois... Southeastern Ogle County in north central Illinois... Northern Cook County in northeastern Illinois... DuPage County in northeastern Illinois... Southern Kane County in northeastern Illinois...

* Until 315 AM CDT.

* At 1120 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with torrential rainfall across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Multiple automated rain gages have measured up to around 2 inches of rain in an hour with up to an inch in 15 minutes. Rainfall of this magnitude will result flash flooding or small streams, creeks, and some roads. HAZARD...Flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and other poor drainage areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Chicago, Aurora, Naperville, Elgin, Cicero, Hammond, Evanston, Schaumburg, Bolingbrook, Skokie, Des Plaines, Oak Lawn, Berwyn, Wheaton, Oak Park, Downers Grove, Elmhurst, DeKalb, Lombard and Bartlett.
