Emergency Management Volunteer Meeting 7:00 PM, Tuesday June 25, at OG Public Safety Center, 1903 S Broadway. 
The monthly meeting of Oak Grove-Sni Valley Emergency Management Volunteers will be at 1900 (7:00PM), Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at the Oak Grove Public Safety Center, 1903 South Broadway, Oak Grove. Please park in the lot on the north side of the Public Safety Center or the east side of the Davis Center and enter the lobby door (Door #1) on the northwest corner of the Public Safety Center. We are planning to review Communications and Warning and other operational topics.
We are seeking volunteers to perform in various roles during time of emergency including, but not limited to: Radio Communicators, Emergency Shelter Staff, Emergency Operations Center Staff, Damage Assessment, Information Management, Animal Rescue and Sheltering, debris management, severe weather spotting, and operation of the R-VI Schools Performing Arts Center as a community severe weather shelter. Volunteers must pass a background check that Oak Grove Police Department provides. For further information, please contact 816-834-1625.
We are also looking for residents who live near the ten outdoor warning siren sites to help monitor the sirens for proper operation on test days, the first Wednesday of the month.
