Flood Warning until 05:00PM Tuesday

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Minnesota... St. Louis River at Scanlon affecting northeastern Carlton County.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and remains forecast.

* WHERE...St. Louis River at Scanlon.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 10.5 feet, Minor flooding occurs of low areas adjacent to the river near Cloquet city park and near Scanlon. At 11.0 feet, Water encroaches on the lowest sites at the Fond du Lac Campground and Chambers Grove Park. At 13.0 feet, Water encroaches buildings near River Gate Rd.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 11.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:30 AM CDT Monday was 11.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late tonight and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 10.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.4 feet on 05/14/2022. - Flood safety information can be found at www.weather.gov/safety/flood.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CARLTON, MN
