Flood Warning until 12:45PM Tuesday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Minnesota, including the following counties, Nobles and Rock and southeast South Dakota, including the following county, Minnehaha.

* WHEN...Until 1245 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1238 PM CDT, emergency management reported that flooding from earlier heavy rainfall continues. Numerous county roads remain under water near small creeks and poor drainage areas, although some areas have seen water recede. Between 3 and 10 inches of rain had fallen late last week. - Flooding impacts will continue, but should continue to slowly improve. The chance for rainfall the next three days is low. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sioux Falls, Worthington, Luverne, Brandon, Hartford, Crooks, Adrian, Garretson, Wall Lake, Baltic, Valley Springs, Colton, Hills, Humboldt, Brewster, Ellsworth, Leota, Round Lake, Rushmore and Wilmont. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.
