Traffic Delays Expected Tomorrow Due to Special Olympics Torch Run
The Emeryville Police Department wish to inform the public of anticipated traffic delays tomorrow, June 26, 2024, between 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM due to the Special Olympics Torch Run.
This prestigious event will see participants carrying the torch along a designated route through the heart of the city, leading to temporary road closures and diversions. The route will start at 67th Street and Hollis Street and end at City Hall (1333 Park Ave), passing through the Public Market, Bay Street, South Bayfront Bridge, and Huchiun Park.

- WB Folger St to Hollis St
- SB Hollis St to 65th St
- WB 65th St to Shellmound St
- SB Shellmound St to Christie Ave

- SB Bay St to South Bayfront Bridge
- EB South Bayfront Bridge to Huchiun Park path
- SB Huchiun Park path to 45th St
- EB 45th St to Hollis St
- SB Hollis St to City Hall, 1333 Park Ave
Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly, as these streets may be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic during the event. Police officers will be on-site to direct traffic and ensure the safety of both participants and drivers.
