[UPDATE]: Missing Person Hongwei Yan was safely located last night in Richmond and reunited with family.  SLPD would like to thank the community for the many tips we received in the past several days.  We value the public's continued partnership in enabling us to be successful in our mission.    




The San Leandro Police Department is alerting the community to a missing person at risk.  68-year-old Hongwei Yan (DOB: 03/23/1956) was last seen near her home on the 1700 Block of Clarke Street in San Leandro, on June 21st, at about 7:15 am. Mrs. Yan suffers from mental health-related ailments.

Mrs. Yan is believed to be wearing either a blue Adidas jacket or a white down puffy cardigan, along with black tennis shoes with white soles and a white T-shirt with colored flowers.  Mrs. Yan is about 5' tall and 90 lbs in weight, and she has long gray hair, usually worn in a bun.  

Mrs. Yan speaks Mandarin and might have taken Chinese currency (Yuan or Renminbi) with her when she left.
