Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges.
Beginning in June, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into illegal drug sales in the 300 block of West 29th Street. On June 26, at approximately 9:31 a.m., police executed a search warrant in that block and took 27-year-old Hamza Ali into custody without incident. Police recovered 402.07 grams of marijuana, $51,850, and drug paraphernalia.
Ali has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on $12,200 unsecured bail.
