Search Warrant Yields Trafficking Levels of Narcotics
On June 20, 2024, officers with the Marion Police Department in conjunction with the McDowell Drug Enforcement Team, executed a narcotics search warrant at the home of Steven Ray Arrowood, located at 286 School Street in Marion. The late night operation, which utilized Special Response Teams from the Marion Police Department and McDowell County Sheriff’s Office, yielded trafficking levels of narcotics. Arrowood was the only occupant of the home at the time of the search warrant, which was being utilized as a location to purchase illegal narcotics.
Steven Ray Arrowood, 64 of Marion, was arrested and charged with the following:
Trafficking Heroin (1) Count
Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Heroin (1) Count
Felony Possession of Heroin (1) Count
Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine (1) Count
Felony Possession of Methamphetamine (1) Count
Maintaining a Dwelling for the Storage and Sell of Controlled Substances (1) Count
Arrowood was placed in the custody of the McDowell County Jail under a $250,000 secured bond for his appearance in court.
