Residents in the area of Prospect Avenue between Banta Place and Slocum Avenue, Please anticipate construction activity tomorrow and Monday thru Wednesday.  Sorry for the short notice but logistics have made the decision for activity to begin tomorrow.  The Borough has been selected for a large scale natural gas improvement project which is very important for reliable gas services.  The first phase will include main line gas pipe installations along Prospect, Abbott, Banta and Hillside.  Please expect daily traffic detours for construction activity over the next several months.  Residents inside construction areas will have access to their driveways but please coordinate vehicular movement with assigned Traffic Officers in the affected areas.   Sorry for any inconveniences this may cause but the long lasting improvements will be well worth the issues.   On behalf of the Mayor and Council members, we appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation during this transitional time. 128
