A message from Mayor Freda regarding the extension of Kinnelon’s boil water restrictions 
Message from Mayor Freda:
Butler has lifted their "Boil Water" restrictions on their customers in Butler only. Although it's the same water and it tested fine in Butler, the NJ DEP still wants Kinnelon to continue to drain our system in order to test. After that, it will take another 17 hours to get the results from the DEP. I will push them as hard as I can to get the results. I wish I was making this up but all I can do is apologize for this huge inconvenience. I'm hoping they will have us back tomorrow evening unless the DEP has another issue. Reminder this restriction does not include homes with wells or have their water provided by Fayson Lakes Water Company. .
Instructions:
Please continue to boil water - this is for the consumption of water- it is still safe to shower/bathe etc.
