Join us next Tuesday, July 2nd for our Community Meeting and Military Equipment Display from 5:00-5:45 pm at City Hall (11 English Street), or for our community meeting in City Council Chambers from 5:45-6:30 pm. If you've ever wanted to check out our rescue vehicle or see the inside of our mobile command bus, now’s your chance! Our staff will be on hand to review the Annual Military Equipment Use report, conduct tours of our safety vehicles, and answer your questions. 

Assembly Bill 481 (AB481) went into effect on January 1, 2022, which defined certain law enforcement equipment as “military equipment” and required all state law enforcement agencies to seek council’s approval and showcase such equipment annually. We encourage community members to come to our events and to visit our website to learn more about our inventory. For additional information about AB481 or to review the annual report and learn more about our Military Equipment, please visit https://cityofpetaluma.org/police-department-specialized-equipment/
