The July 4th Parade Route on the streets adjacent to the school block will be closed during the Parade on Thursday, July 4. Attached to this message is a map showing the closed streets for the parade from ~12:15 to ~1:15 pm. The customary route to the Pool will be closed during that time. The map also shows a detour route to the Pool that will have signage posted during the Parade.
 
Following the July 4th Parade, Shorewood Boulevard, between Harvard and Amherst Drives will be closed to traffic for most of the afternoon to protect pedestrians crossing from the school grounds to the old Fire Station. Also, Shorewood Boulevard in front of the old Fire Station will be closed to traffic on Wednesday, July 3 from ~7:00 pm until the Independence Day Dance is over at ~11:00 pm.
 
The Shorewood Hills Police Department will post No Parking signs for July 4 on one side of most streets in the area of Blackhawk Country Club. The intent is to ease congestion on the streets as the throngs of pedestrians and vehicles exit the fireworks show in the dark.
