Full Notification

On 7/1/2024, at approximately 0223 hours, a confrontation between two groups occurred at Frontier Park, located at 2165 Elizondo St, in the City of Simi Valley.  During the confrontation, a male juvenile was shot.  The male juvenile suffered a gunshot wound to his chest and a gunshot wound to his trachea.  The juvenile was taken to a local area trauma center and is currently undergoing surgery.  Personnel from the Simi Valley Police Department’s Detective Bureau responded to the scene and took over the investigation.  Multiple subjects wearing dark colored hoodie sweatshirts were seen fleeing in the park right after the shooting.  Anyone with any information about this shooting is encouraged to contact the Simi Valley Police Department at (805) 583-6950.
