* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, northwest, southwest, and west central Iowa, including the following counties, in central Iowa, Boone, Dallas, Hamilton, Hardin, Polk, Story and Webster. In north central Iowa, Cerro Gordo, Franklin, Hancock, Humboldt, Kossuth, Winnebago, Worth and Wright. In northwest Iowa, Palo Alto and Pocahontas. In southwest Iowa, Adair and Cass. In west central Iowa, Audubon, Calhoun, Carroll, Crawford, Greene, Guthrie and Sac.

* WHEN...From 10 PM CDT this evening through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. In addition, significant ponding and flash flooding may occur in some areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Widespread thunderstorms are expected tonight into Tuesday. A band of very heavy rainfall may occur somewhere across the watch area during this time period where rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches could occur.
