6/28/24-6/30/24: Officers were dispatched to 171 calls for service, made 12 arrests, and conducted 27 traffic stops.
June 28, 2024:
- Officers Marcum and Allison were dispatched to the 300 block of North St. for a neighbor dispute. While officers were investigating, one of the subjects began to fight with officers. Ultimately, a 31-year-old male was arrested for Felony Resisting & Obstructing Causing Injury to an Officer.
- Officer Brooks arrested a 30-year-old male on a probation violation warrant.
- Officer Allison visited the Jackson School of the Arts.
- Officers were dispatched to the area of Michigan Avenue and Fourth Street for a single vehicle crash. Officer Tenney completed an OWI investigation and arrested the 34-year-old male driver for OWI; PBT was 0.16.
- Officers investigated calls for shots fired which were determined to be fireworks.
- Officer Allison was dispatched for a natural death investigation in the 700 block of Michigan Avenue regarding a 69-year-old female.
- Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of High Street for a domestic situation. Lieutenant Lillie, Officer Brooks, and Officer Frazier ultimately arrested a 29-year-old male for the domestic assault and a parole absconder warrant.
- Sergeant Burkart made a field contact and arrested a 26-year-old female for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
- Officer Soloman and Sergeant Burkart made contact with a subject in a downtown parking lot. The 32-year-old male was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
- Officers were dispatched to the area of Third Street and Washington Avenue after receiving information regarding a subject with at least one outstanding warrant. Officer Mills arrested a 36-year-old female for three outstanding felony warrants.
- Officers investigated calls for shots fired which were determined to be fireworks.
- Officer Tenney was sent to the 600 block of Biddle Street for a domestic situation where the caller believed he heard a gunshot, but no evidence of any shots fired was located.
- Officers investigated a situation in the 700 block of Second Street with a 19-year-old male needing mental health assistance. The subject was transported to the hospital.
- Officer Tenney and other officers were sent to a residence in the 400 block of Gorham Street for a domestic situation. A 44-year-old male was arrested for assaulting his wife.
- Sergeant Kruso made contact with a subject in the 300 block of Mason Street. The 35-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Blackman Township.
- Officer Vernier and other officers were sent to the 200 block of Orange Street for a domestic situation. The 47-year-old male suspect had left prior to police arrival, but was arrested later in the evening.
- Officer Allison made contact with a subject near the intersection of Jackson and Trail Streets. The 43-year-old was issued citations for Open Intox and Urinating in Public.
- Officer Elston made contact with a subject in the 500 block of Third Street for a personal welfare check. The 27-year-old male was ultimately transported to the hospital for mental health assistance.
- Officer Tenney investigated a Malicious Destruction of Property in the 700 block of Pleasant Street where a vehicle was vandalized.
- Officers investigated calls of shots fired which were determined to be fireworks.
- Officer Farnsworth and others were dispatched to a domestic situation in the 100 block of Fourth Street. A 34-year-old male was arrested for the assault.
- Officers were dispatched to the area of Cooper and Detroit Streets for a possible domestic situation. Officers Schram and Vernier investigated the situation and ultimately arrested a 30-year-old male for Possession of Methamphetamine and Smuggling Contraband into a Jail.
