INCIDENT: CVC 10851 - Grand Theft Auto and PC 3455 - Violation of Post Release Community Supervision
LOCATION: J Street and 3rd Street, Needles
SUSPECT(S): Gilbert Ruff, 54 Years Old, Resident of Bullhead City, AZ
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Sunday, June 30, 2024, at approximately 4:54 p.m., deputies assigned to the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department conducted a felony traffic enforcement stop near J Street and 3rd Street when a records check revealed the vehicle was reported stolen.
The driver, Gilbert Ruff, was detained while the investigation confirmed the vehicle was stolen. Ruff was found to be in violation of CVC 10851(A) - Grand Theft Auto and was also found to have a felony warrant for PC 3455 - Violation of Post Release Community Supervision. Ruff was consequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Ruff remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with no bail, awaiting a court hearing.
