Deputies Arrest Hesperia Man for Grand Theft in Crestline; Deputies Seeking Additional Victims

INCIDENT: PC 487 - Grand Theft
LOCATION: 500 Block of Dorn Dr., Crestline
SUSPECT(S): Ruben Concepcion, 30-year-old resident of Hesperia
VICTIM(S): Confidential Victim
SUMMARY: Deputies from the Twin Peaks Sheriff's Station received a report of financial theft from a victim who hired Ruben Concepcion for residential constuction work. Concepcion operated his business under the name Dreamscapes Full Exterior Landscaping and presented his company as a legitimate business to the victim. Deputies discovered Concepcion collected money but did not perform the work he promised. The loss to the victim was $30,000.00.
Through investigation, Concepcion was found to be on active San Bernardino County probation for operating without a contractor's license. He also had multiple warrants for his arrest in Riverside County for theft by fraud and grand theft.
On July 1, 2024, Concepcion was arrested at his home in Hesperia, pursuant to a Ramey warrant for the above-mentioned case. He was booked into jail at the High Desert Detention Center and charged with grand theft, in leiu of $160,000.00 bail. Concepcion is also being held on a violation of his probation.
Based on this investigation, it is believed there may be additional victims in the mountain communities and Concepcion's photo is being released.
