Traffic & Parking Advisory for July 3rd Fireworks Show.
The 10th annual Bordentown Traditions Independence Day Fireworks event is scheduled for July 3rd from 4:30pm – 10pm at Joseph Lawrence Park. This is a weather dependent event so please monitor Bordentown Township Police Department social media and Nixle account for most current information.
This is a well-attended event that features heavy vehicular and pedestrian traffic affecting Ward Ave., Hogback Rd. and all streets located within the Bossert Estates neighborhood. It is recommended that spectators plan to arrive early to avoid traffic delays. Further details are as follows:
- The Bordentown Regional High School parking lots are designated as the general parking area for this event.
- The Peter Muschal Elementary School lot will be utilized for handicapped parking.
- Willow Rd. will be restricted to one side street parking on July 3rd. This is necessary in order to provide sufficient space for Police/Fire/EMS vehicles in the event of an emergency.
- A temporary closure of Ward Ave. in front of the park (between Willow Rd. and Hogback Rd.) will be in effect from approximately 8pm – 10pm on July 3rd.
- The newly constructed soccer field lot located on Hogback Rd. will be restricted to fire apparatus only with no attendee parking.
Motorists are reminded that there will be a significant amount of vehicular and pedestrian traffic in this area prior to and after the event and are asked to please be very cautious when driving these roads.
No pets of any kind are allowed at this event except trained service animals. Unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) or drones are also prohibited.
Bordentown Township Police will be utilizing our Nixle account to provide real-time text alerts to event attendees once they opt-in by texting BTOWN to 888777. This will allow attendees to receive alerts about general event details, safety, weather, parking, and traffic.
