Mayor’s Equestrian Trail Ride & Costume Contest
Dress up in red, white and blue, and be ready to ride with pride! Prizes will be awarded to the most patriotic horse and rider!
Time: Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and the ride departs at 9:30 a.m.
Location: Ingalls Event Center – Parking Lot 2 (3737 Crestview Drive - Corner of Sixth Street and Crestview Drive)
Event Protocol: No alcohol, ponying, stallions, dogs, or riding double; Under 18 must wear a helmet and be accompanied by an adult; Riders must use a saddle and bridle.
Patriotic Picnic in the Park
Bring your chairs and blankets, and enjoy live music, crafts and contests for the whole family, including a horseshoe tournament, picnic games, and the annual bike/trike parade and decorating contest! Prizes will be awarded to the most patriotic participants.
Time: 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
Location: Pikes Peak Park (97 Sixth Street)
Refreshments: While attendees may bring their own picnic snacks, food and drinks will be available for purchase.
Event Protocol: No alcohol or BBQs are allowed. Ice chests are subject to search. Pets must be on a leash.
