INCIDENT: Burglary
LOCATION: 24000 block of Redlands Boulevard, Loma Linda
SUSPECT(S): Consuelo Gutierrez, 48-year-old female resident of Rialto
Johnny Mendoza, 38-year-old male resident of Rialto
Juan Arteago Avalos, 47-year-old male resident of Redlands
VICTIM(S): BWW and Company
SUMMARY: On June 17, 2024, at approximately 9:13 am, deputies responded to the business BWW and Company reference a burglary. Through investigation, deputies identified a light brown Ford F-150 pick up truck that was involved in the burglary.
On June 20, 2024, detectives and deputies conducted a traffic stop on the Ford F-150. The driver was identified as Juan Arteago Avalos and he was arrested for his involvement in the burglary.
Through further investigation, detectives identified an additional suspect vehicle. Detectives also networked with other jurisdictions and discovered the suspect vehicle was related to a ring of theft related crimes in Rancho Cucamonga.
On July 2, 2024, Central Station detectives and deputies assigned to the Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) saw the suspect vehicle at a residence in Rialto. A search warrant was served at the home with the assistance of Rancho Cucamonga Station detectives. Evidence related to both investigations was located.
Consuelo Gutierrez and Johnny Mendoza were arrested.
