City of Fremont Cooling Centers Open thru July 6, 2024
A Heat Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for Fremont and most other areas near the San Francisco Bay shoreline until Saturday, July 6 at 8:00 pm. An Excessive Heat Warning will take effect during the same period across interior areas of the Bay Area and into the Central Valley.
Cooling Centers will open at the City’s Age Well Centers, the Fremont Main Library, and some of our community centers. For locations and times of cooling centers, and additional heat safety tips, please visit the City's website: https://www.fremont.gov/residents/emergency-preparedness/hot-weather.
We’d also like to encourage everyone to check in on neighbors, especially home-bound elderly and vulnerable populations in Fremont and remind pet owners to take extra precautions to ensure the well-being of their furry companions.
