INCIDENT: CVC 10851 - Grand Theft Auto
LOCATION: 900 Block of W Broadway Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Ruben Medrano, 51 Years Old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): CONFIDENTIAL
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at approximately 12:11 pm, deputies assigned to the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department conducted an area check near N. K Street and Smokestack reference a stolen vehicle in the area. Deputies located the vehicle near the 900 block of W. Broadway Street and conducted a felony traffic stop. A records check confirmed the vehicle was stolen and after a short foot pursuit, the driver, Ruben Medrano was detained.
Through investigation, Medrano was found to be in violation of CVC 10851, Grand Theft Auto. Medrano was subsequently arrested and booked into the Colorado River Station jail with a bail amount of $30,000.00. Medrano remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department awaiting a court hearing.
