PC 30305(A)(1): FELON IN POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION
LOCATION: 12600 Block of Autumn Leaves Ave., Spring Valley Lake
SUSPECT: Donte Sanders, 38 years-old, resident of Spring Valley Lake
SUMMARY: On Monday, July 1, 2024, deputies responded to a 911 call at a residence in the 12600 block of Autumn Leaves Avenue in Spring Valley Lake. The suspect, Donte Sanders, allegedly threatened to kill his live-in girlfriend. During the investigation, deputies were able to obtain enough information to substantiate a crime had occurred.
A search warrant was authored for the residence. During a search of the residence, deputies found 960 rounds of ammunition, and 7 firearms, including a short barrel automatic rifle and several stolen handguns.
Donte Sanders, who is a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition, was arrested for terrorist threats, felon in possession of a firearm, and felon in possession of ammunition. He was booked into the High Desert Detention Center.
