Meridian Police Ask for Public’s Help in Identifying Suspects
The Meridian Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying the suspects involved in vandalism at multiple construction sites in north Meridian.
On June 30, 2024, at approximately 11:54 a.m., Meridian Officers responded to a vandalism report near the intersection of N. Magical Creek and W. Plateau Creek. A witness reported seeing two male juveniles pick up a large rock and throw it through the windshield of a yellow excavator. The suspects left the scene on their bicycle and scooter once realizing they were seen, heading toward McMillan.
Upon further investigation, officers located three excavators and one loader with shattered windows. There was an additional loader and excavator with shattered windows near N. Glassford St and W. Redwood Creek Drive. On W. Wooley Creek Ave, a backhoe with a cab window was shattered and on W. Los Flores Drive a small excavator also had similar damage. There were also heavy equipment vehicles with similarly damaged cab windows on the highway 16 construction site.
