Fremont Police Department is announcing the arrest of a suspect in connection with a recent rape investigation. The suspect, Morgan Foster, age 30, was apprehended on June 30, 2024, following a thorough investigation conducted by the Crimes Against Persons investigative unit within the Fremont Police Department.
On June 28, 2024, an 18-year-old female victim consumed alcohol at an establishment in San Jose with an acquaintance, Morgan Foster. Foster provided the victim with multiple alcoholic drinks and drove her to his residence in Fremont, where he sexually assaulted her while she was incapacitated in the backseat of his car. Detectives obtained statements from involved parties and witnesses before locating video evidence of the assault.
Morgan Foster was arrested and booked into Santa Rita Jail for multiple charges of rape, California Penal Code 261. He has officially been charged and arraigned. Foster has since posted bail.
Detectives are looking for other potential victims who may have had contact with Foster.
